WHS Duties for Workers

AIMS

Courtenell’s half-day WHS Duties for Workers course is delivered on site, at your premises, allowing participants to engage with the material in the context of their own workplace.

The course focuses on the specific health and safety requirements of workers in the workplace and how they must conduct themselves within the WHS management system of the organisation.

Emphasis is placed on workplace behaviour, cooperation, and alignment with established systems and processes.

By examining the relationship between duty holders, the course helps clarify how shared responsibilities operate in practice and how effective cooperation contributes to a safe and well-managed workplace.

In WHS law, the term "worker" also includes supervisors and managers. While they play a key role in day‑to‑day operations, they contribute to, rather than make, decisions for the company and are therefore not considered "officers of the PCBU [organisation]." Officers hold the assurance role under WHS law, while the organisation itself is responsible for providing the WHS management system in the first place.

Training Evaluation
By group and general discussions, case studies and practical exercises with a short multi-choice assessment at the end.

Price is for maximum of 16 participants. (No minimum)

Who Should Do the Course?
