Fire Extinguisher-Warden-Chief Warden Combined Refresher course

Course Overview

 

The Courtenell Fire Extinguisher / Warden / Chief Warden Combined course is a one-day refresher course delivered at your premises for persons who are wardens or chief wardens, who have previously completed a course of training in any or all of the following units of competencies:​

  • PUAFER008 Confined small Emergencies in a Facility

  • PUAFER005 Operate as a part of Emergency Control Organisation

  • PUAFER006 Lead an Emergency Control Organisation

  • CPPFES2005 Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment​

 

This course refreshes participants on the above competencies and provides a certificate of attendance upon completion. 
 

Who should attend?

 

This course is suitable for individuals who are responsible for leading an emergency response in the workplace, including:​

 

  • ​Chief Wardens & Deputy Chief Wardens

  • Fire Wardens & Floor Wardens

  • Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) members

  • WHS Officers & Facility Managers.

  • Anyone involved in workplace emergency planning

 

Course Objectives

 

The course content is aligned with Australian Standards AS 3745:2010 and AS 4083:2010 and focuses on the critical aspects of emergency planning, response, coordination, and leadership
 

Assessment
 

Participants will be assessed through:

  • A written knowledge assessment covering emergency procedures and leadership responsibilities,

  • Practical activities, including emergency response coordination and Chief warden role simulations.

 

Certification
 

Upon successful completion of the course and the post-course assessment, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.


Note: Courtenell is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We do not issue a Statement of Attainment for this refresher course.
