Why This Training is Necessary
All Supervisors and Managers in your workplace must satisfy their legal duty of “reasonable care” under Section 28 of the WHS Act. To satisfy “reasonable care” they must implement and/or contribute to the management of health and safety risks.
If Supervisors and Managers are not effectively implementing and/or contributing, then they must be trained in how to do so. Otherwise the PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) and Officers will be in breach of their legal duty of care under Sections 19 and 27, of the WHS Act.
The course is aimed at:
Providing a unique opportunity for your managers and supervisors to review and be familiar with their organization’s WHS documentation, under the skilled guidance of the trainer.
Helping to equip them with the why and how of the particular actions they need to take to satisfy their WHS duty of care including the WHS compliance responsibilities that go with their manager or supervisor role in their workplace.
Helping to identify any areas in your WHS system that need improvement.
Helping to ensure compliance with WHS legislation that applies to their area of the workplace.
