Competency Standards
The learning outcomes of the WHS Risk Management course are aligned with the elements of competency set out in the National Guidelines for Integrating Health & Safety Competencies into National Industry Competency Standards (NOHSC:7025 1998) developed by the National WHS Commission. These competencies are recognised throughout Australia as being necessary for the effective implementation of WHS management in Australian workplaces.
Course Purposes
The purpose of the WHS Risk Management course is to familiarize participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of risk management as an integral part of an effective WHS management system.
The WHS Risk Management course will also assist in the development of appropriate attitudes to enable participants to effectively manage health and safety in their areas of responsibility.
