Construction General Induction Onsite Course

The unit of competency CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry is designed to meet national and New South Wales OHS regulatory authority requirements for OHS induction and must be achieved before access to any construction worksite. ‘Construction work’ means any work on or in the vicinity of a construction site carried out in connection with the construction, alteration, conversion, fitting out, commissioning, renovation, repair, maintenance, de-commissioning, demolition or dismantling of any structure.
 

Who needs to do this training?

General induction training is required for all persons:
 
> Who carry out construction work, including site managers and supervisors, surveyors, labourers and trades people
> Who access operational construction zones unaccompanied or not directly supervised by an inducted person
> Whose employment causes them to routinely enter operational construction zones

Prerequisites

> Must be at least 14 years of age
> Must bring 100 points of ID- see PreCourse Information

Aims

This training aims to provide participants with a basic of OHS legislative requirements, principles of the risk management and the prevention of injury and illnes in the construction industry.

Assessment

During the course of the Construction Induction course you will be required to complete written assessments.

What to bring on the day

> 100 points of ID, to be checked by the Trainer
